Emma's hen do fundraiser

Story

To honour the absence of my beautiful brave sister and best friend Laura, we will walk one of my favourite London walks in her memory on my hen do. Laura loved walking, loved visiting London and was excited to be a bridesmaid for our wedding. She knew almost all of our plans and didn't want to miss it. This is my way of keeping her close to us during the hen do celebrations. Family and friends from across the country will be coming together to walk 8 miles from the Southbank Centre to my home.

We did it!

27th November 2014
We did it! 18 of us walked 8 miles from the London Eye to Broadway Market and we've raised £1,967.50, and £555.00 on the Just Giving site - https://www.justgiving.com/sianym85/ Amazing! Almost £2.5K! I have been overwhelmed by everyone's generosity - there have been so many donations from friends, family, walkers' friends and family, people who hadn't met Laura, people I haven't seen in years and people who have already donated lots of money already. I can't thank you enough, and words definitely cannot sum up what it means to me and my parents. We felt Laura's presence all the way through the walk, heard her laughing with us and I could just imagine seeing her walking with us all. We'll keep raising money for Roy Castle Lung Foundation to support them in their efforts of improving lung cancer survival, predicting risk of getting lung cancer, diagnosing lung cancer and life after cancer. A huge thank you to Rachel, Sian, Kirsty and Tia for an organising such a brilliant weekend.

Thank you
